Summertime movie events! Eh, not too excited about it...

It's June and it's sweltering hot outside with a humidity of 60% so that means it's summertime in Oklahoma. And honestly...not looking forwarded to it. Not only for the heat index in Boomer Sooner land, but also, there are no good movies out! At least none that interest me. The only movie I truely wanted to see was Iron Man 2 and I saw that already. Don't get me wrong. I want to see Get Him to the Greek, The Last Airbender, and Eclipse, but I'm not excited about it as I use to be. I use to get so excited for the awesomness that was the Summer Movie season. I guess it has something to do with the fact that most movie now a days are nothing be franchise sequels. Get Him to the Greek is a spin off of Forgetting Sarah Marshall. The Last Airbender is the live action version of the great Nickalodeaon show Avatar: The Last Airbender (which took three seasons to tell the tale of Aang's adventures of self discovery and saving the world), and Eclipse the continuing tale of "the chronicles of Twlight the Vampire" (I heard that on Chris Hardwick's The Nerdist Podcast. I was at work the first time I heard that I thought I was going to get in trouble for laughing so hard and loud). I guess I'm longing for something that is new and original and different. There's more interesting shows on TV. Where are the film makers I love? Rob Zombie, Quentin Tarantion, Robert Rodiguez, Zack Snyder, and Guillermo Del Toro: You guys need to hurry up and put some movies out because right now it's nothing but crap.

  1. Sadly it will be quite a while before we can expect or home something new fun and original for the summer. This summer is another summer of adaptations or sequels, decent ones perhaps, but still try number 2 at good ideas. By the way your myspace settings make it impossible to message a nerdy pirate fangirl and your red headed friend doesn't log in often enough to pass messages along. Happy wedding in 6 days. I have no idea how this thing works so it is possible you can message me back, I honestly don't know.

Oh and on the movie note again I believe the next one I'm personally looking forward too is the Last Airbender, I'll be rewatching the series over the next two weeks prior.
